LENA JACKSON

Lena Jackson is an award nominated hip-hop artist hailing from Raleigh, NC.
 

Born and raised in poverty stricken neighborhoods, Lena grew up with music as a main source of comfort, and writing as therapy. Jackson started penning poetry as a child, but in her early teens became intrigued by rap cipher sessions she would see in school cafeterias. Her obsession with hip-hop inspired her to exchange poetry stanzas for rap bars, and sharpen her craft as a hungry emcee.

Lena Jackson has been featured on Shade 45, NPR, ABC-11, HipHopDX and more.  Additionally, Jackson has been showcased in Duke University's “Faces of Tradition” art exhibit and featured in INDY Week’s publication multiple times-one being “Fifteen Women To Follow on the Hip-Hop Scene", and another being “23 NC Hip-Hop Artists to Watch Out for in 2023.” Accolades have garnered much attention, leading to Lena creating music with legends such as M.O.P, Spice 1, and Nottz.

Jackson has also supported tours and festivals for: Skyzoo, Toni Braxton and Walk The Moon at Pittsburgh Pride,  Rah Digga, Dead Prez, Mickey Factz, KRS-One, and Rapsody.

Affectionately referred to as "The Wolf" by her musical peers, Lena Jackson’s aggressive cadences and energetic performances expose her raw talent and spirited personality. With profound messages, eccentric personality, and powerful delivery, Lena Jackson continuously interjects a different and deeper perspective in rap.
